Q.  Do I need the employees permission to conduct a background check on him/her?

A.  No, all information on our site it public data, so for small to mid size business who would like to know a little about their employees past, our system is ideal as it allows you to run an unlimited amount of nationwide checks.

A few states do require the employees permission to run a extensive background check which would be needed if the subject were dealing with children, or a federal position. In cases such as that, we cannot be of any use to you, you would need a certified record from the state.
As for nanny screening, again, it's best to also look toward your local government to be 100% sure
